4-H Peer MentorING Program
The MSU Extension 4-H peer mentoring programs match upperclassmen (11th and 12th grades) high school students with lowerclassmen (9th and 10th grades) or middle school students (7th and 8th grades). The mentors act as positive role models and provide guidance, encouragement, and direction to the mentees. This is done through hands-on activities and experiences facilitated by a MSU Extension staff member, a community partner, or a 4-H volunteer. To learn more about the current peer mentoring programs in Macomb County schools, or to become a 4-H volunteer with the peer mentoring programs, contact Katelyn Burns at burnska9@anr.msu.edu or (586) 469-5979.
